Watching a MOVIE!

HOLY ICE

It's my birthday and we headed up to the Grama and Granpa Cella's for a breakfast before the head out for their winter excursion across the country. Jonathan, Matt and I had pancakes, bacon and cantaloupe with Grama and Granpa Cella as Katrina enjoyed cantaloupe and mushed banana. DELISH!
We played and enjoyed each other's company and Jonathan opened a VERY generous present for me from the Cella's - Ebay gift-cards! Wahoo!
As we came home exhausted as usual, we pulled into the driveway and saw this!
Holy Ice! I will not walk around the side of the house. Not that anyone can with the nearly THREE feet of snow on the ground! The icicle nearly touches the ground, it is HUGE!

Reminiscing

Oh how far we have come in a single year.
Tonight Matt and I went out to celebrate my birthday... a little early, especially since it falls on a Sunday this year AND Saturday we are taking the kids to see Disney on Ice. YAY!
After we enjoyed a TRULY delicious dinner at Vasi's, complete with FRIED CHEESECAKE (yummy, yummy), we put the kids to bed and watched a TINY bit of video from when Jonathan was a little-tiny- baby....
It really makes you think.
We have come a loooong way...
I'm lovin' every minute of my little family!

Bracing for the storm.... again!

We are bracing for our THIRD 'substantial' amount of snow this year already.
Our first batch of snow was officially called a blizzard. It ended up being roughly a foot of snow that IS staying put. It truly looks beautiful out there, especially since the sand the town plows are using is so lite in color that it doesn't make the roads look dirty, they still have pretty white edges, and the evergreen trees are seemingly 'ever-whites'.
Our second WALLOP was over this past weekend, just a few inches, maybe 4 or 5. It was enough to look nice again and add to the snow we had in our "Blizzard".
So today, with Jonathan at Gram and Grampa Cella's for the day and Matt at work, Katrina and I are bracing for the snow and waiting for it to fall.
Today she and I were planning on hitting up the Library and doing a little shopping, but the cold weather is not going to let me bring out the little lady. Instead, she and I will play dollies and learn our colors and shapes! HOORAY!!!

The snow is not expected to fall until late evening and the heaviest will begin after midnight tonight, from what I have heard the snow will NOT stop until tomorrow night. We are expecting 3-5 inches from midnight until well into tomorrow... If it happens, it will BE FEET!!!!!

Daily Schedule

Our daily schedule is very flexible to allow for unplanned events or other opportunities that may arise throughout the day. Some days we do not fit all this in....but we try!
We have a movie day once in a while, especially on rainy days. I choose the movie. Sometimes we will have a picnic on the rec room floor with a large blanket and lots of pillows.....and we eat our snack while watching the movie. This is only done as a special reward "because we had such a good day"!
We do go outside every day to play in the backyard (weather permitting).

Learning to Wrestle (part 2)

Jonathan and Matt have begun to make 'learning to wrestle' a daily routine. At this point I am not sure IF Jonathan needs any more lessons. He seems to be holding his own. The funniest part is, after wrestling for about an hour he said to Matt "Okay, enough fooling around can we wrestle for real now?" Poor Matt. Jonathan was kicking his butt!
