CARS!
We made our FIRST and last (for awhile anyway) trip to the Drive-In Movies in Southington. It was nice, reasonably priced and kid friendly... in that there was room to run and play and playground equipment. BUT, we needed to be there early to get a spot, since the crowd comes quick... so we waited almost 4 hours before the movie started, NOT good for a two-year-old!

CT Family Magazine Quassy Day
I love that I am a bargain hunter and that I spend my "quiet time" searching the Internet for fun things to do with the children.
On a search in early June, I spotted an event taking place at Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury. The event was sponsored by the magazine and therefore had free parking, free activities, free snacks and drinks and discounted ride passes.
So I braved the trip...
The kids LOVED it!
We started with a little scavenger hunt and ran around the park before it even opened!
I did make the mistake of putting the kids on the kiddie roller coaster for the first ride... yay Trina wouldn't even ride the carousel after that... DANG it! Little Jack was stuck riding everything alone!

Spring break-ING it!
I borrowed my cousin Jenna for the day and took the children kite-flying at the Kid's In Motion Park in Cheshire.
Jenna was a huge help and I definitely want to borrow her again and soon!
We flew kites, climbed spider webs and spun in circles. We had lunch together, rode bikes and later went to karate. n All in all... spring break = success!Saturday, April 14, 2012
A little trip to the Science Center
I LOVE that our kids EARN things, and when they do they pick educational activities, like trips to the Science center as
their prize!
