Memorial Day

Although Jonathan is narrowing in on his eigthteen month half-birthday, and WAS around for last years Memorial Day Parade, we did not go.

This year, we did, and it's a good thing we waited because it seems he got more out of it this time then he EVER would have as an infant.

Plus he is in awe of MUSIC and FLAGS...
Unfortunately, Matt had to work an overnight the night before and was awfully tired to be dragged to the parage WITH my grandparents...

These moments are fleeting and I am sure we will all look back at them and smile, thankful we did all do these things together!

Building...

Jonathan is begining to form excellent hand-eye coordination.
He has begun to grow past the "knock it over" stage and into the "I did it" building stage.

What a relief, because it was growing tiredsome to have to build quickly without him looking just so he wont "knock it over" in two seconds flat!

A minor milestone, but a milestone indeed! (And very soon, I will get to watch each one of these milestones first-hand!)

First of many...

Today, I used the last of my personal days, (until I was informed yesterday, that I have TEN remaining)...The good news is not only will I have ten more paid days to spend with Jonathan, but that this will become a permanent situation in one month!

I tried to explain it to Jonathan, and he seems to get it. I will know for sure when we get to wake up every morning and not be seperated from each other all day.
I am so lucky to be able to raise my little man rather than watch someone else do it, while I "raise" eighteen of someone else's children everyday. It just doesn't make any sense...
