SNOW DAY

I had a snow day today so I was lucky enough to be home with this little man all day today.
He is just the handsome-est little man that I could not help taking a thousand pictures of him.
And I just love his little dalmatian suit, especially now since it fits better and is sooo warm and fuzzy. Too bad Pop-Pop thinks he was dressed like a cow!

Jonathan managed to walk all the way across the room unassisted today, of course he stopped as soon as I took out the camera.
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL WE MISSED!
When Matt and I gave him his bath, he realized he could "swim" in the tub and proceeded to kick his feet and swim around in the tub. When Matt ran to get the camera Jonathan became to preoccupied with saying "hi" to the camera and trying, unsuccessfully to float on his back that we could NOT get the swimming on camera!
This summer is going to be more fun than I thought!

Train

I love MY TRAIN!
I wish my mommy and daddy had a bigger house so I could bring it home to play!

Playing Dress-up

I brought some more things home from school. Since it is easier to bring home a few things at a time than one huge pile of stuff...

Anyway, because of my "tradition" of silly but totally true holidays, I had a bunch of clown costumes and Jonathan HAD to wear everything!

Jack NEEDS to be back on!

Why is it that every show I like is canceled, and now Jonathan's favorite makes NO new episodes????

Are we really going to have to watch the same two seasons over and over and over again? Please NOGGIN, HELP!!!

My Birthday

It seems that when you become a parent it matters not the occasion, it is always the child that plans are arranged for. What a special feeling to be able to share another birthday with our little man.
We took Jonathan to the Rain Forest Cafe in the West Farms Mall to celebrate my birthday. Jonathan seemed to love it so much when we had gone for Matt's birthday and since he was so much younger then, we figured he would like it even more this time around.
He did.
Unfortunately, since my brain has fallen out of my body after Jonathan was born (despite popular belief IT WAS there before) I forgot to bring the memory card for the camera. There are only three pictures and absolutely no video of him smiling and staring at the elephants, monkeys and thunder storms.
Since Jonathan is such a big boy, he even ordered hims own meal, although he thought the crayons tasted a little better then the chicken.

Christmas present...

Jonathan loves all his new toys (and clothes). We were all spoiled again this year!
Thank-you to everyone for our wonderful gifts and holiday wishes! And of course thank you for making Jonathan's FIRST birthday memorable and special!

Funny

My little man has a sense of humor...
I was brushing his teeth and I looked at him and smiled... I couldn't help it.
And he looked me right in the eyes and said "what?"...

Down-right adorable!

I love to play

Over the weekend Jonathan and I were invited to a birthday party for a little boy in our play group, Jarret. The party was held at Monkey Business, a gym for toddlers and preschoolers in Watertown. Matt and I were a little hesitant at first, but for very different reasons:

Matt because there are germs in the world, and a baby gym is clearly outside the safe-germ-free bubble that is our home;
I because I had been to the gym when I was pregnant, with six or seven, five year old children, and I was not sure how "much" Jonathan would be capable of doing (which also was a good time to find out, since we did not have to "pay" to go. We would be able to try it out before signing up and paying for a class).

In any event, Jonathan seemed to love it, he also seemed to gravitate toward things we already have at home. So, when we got home, he and Matt played with my exercise ball and he went crazy!

There are a few pictures here from the gym. One from cake & pizza, one from circle time at the gym, and one from CRAZY time at home.

We will definitely be saving up now, to finish a playroom. Donations are graciously accepted. Please have checks made payable to: Jonathan's Playroom of Fun LLC.
hehehehehe

Who-Ville

We watched
Horton Hears a Who
and Jonathan loved it. The movie was pretty good. Matt and I loved looking for all the other Dr. Seuss books and rhymes hidden throughout the film, and Jonathan enjoyed the graphics and sounds of the fictitious jungle.

My little auto mechanic

I couldn't resist this photo!

1 YEAR Check-up

I brought Jonathan to his 1 year check-up... Way to grow little buddy! 31.5 Inches!
He grew 3 inches in a month! He is now in the 50th percentile for his height!!!

Again, of course the Dr. said how smart and handsome he is...

He did have to have two shots today and blood-work... YUCK!

But we celebrated his completed appointment with a play-date, a banana snack and some pictures...
